Frequently Asked Questions

General

  • What is UPSHPA?

UPSHPA (United Physicians, Surgeons & Healthcare Professionals Association) is a federal medical registry that provides an alternative licensing pathway for physicians, surgeons, and healthcare professionals in Canada. It is not controlled by provincial medical colleges, giving medical professionals greater autonomy, legal protection, and practice flexibility.

  • Why does UPSHPA exist?

UPSHPA was created to address failures within the Canadian healthcare system, particularly:

✅ Long wait times & physician shortages

✅ Bureaucratic restrictions limiting medical autonomy

✅ The removal of ethical, competent doctors due to political pressure

✅ A lack of independent licensing for alternative and functional medicine practitioners

UPSHPA ensures medical professionals can practice freely while maintaining the highest ethical and medical standards.
